Cotting Ships Supplies to Our Sister School - Wings of Hope - in Haiti

Cotting Ships Supplies to Our Sister School - Wings of Hope - in Haiti
Today, two 40-foot cargo containers were shipped from Cotting School to Haiti. The containers were filled with wheelchairs, hospital beds, standers, student desks, chairs and school supplies, office equipment, clothing and even 10 boxes of soccer equipment. Donations came from a variety of sources: the school's attic, our students and their families, a college student who collected soccer supplies from local organizations, a church group and a variety of friends and supporters.
Soon after Cotting School developed a sister school relationship with Wings of Hope in Fermathe Haiti, KC Berch, Director of Education at Wings, was personally able to identify items from our school's attic that could be used in Haiti. Thanks to support from Food for the Poor, we were able to ship those goods to Haiti and to make KC's dream a reality.
The attached photos include our team of workers, a photo of the exterior of Cotting School with approximately 50 pallets full of goods, and, of course, the statue of Soni, from the school's lobby – a reminder of our friendship with our sister school in Haiti.
Later this week five Cotting staff members will spend a week at Wings of Hope. Daily updates from their stay will be posted on our website.
