Supplies Arrive at Our Sister School - Wings of Hope - in Haiti.

KC Bersch, director of education at Wings of Hope, emailed us to say, “Wings of Hope is a bit fuller today!! After an exhausting 12 hour day of unloading, loading, and unloading again three times over, I am happy to say everything got to Wings safe and sound.”
On Tuesday, August 21, 2007, exactly two months to the day when two 40-foot cargo containers left Cotting School, our donation of wheelchairs, hospital beds, standers, student desks, chairs and school supplies, office equipment, clothing and soccer equipment arrived at our sister school in Fermathe, Haiti, Wings of Hope.
Wings of Hope serves 35 students with severe special needs, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year who were abandoned. Like Cotting School they have talented staff and extraordinary children with incredible spirit. Unlike Cotting, they are trying to give the same quality of care that we offer without running water and electricity limited to two hours per day.
Thanks all around - to Food for the Poor for contributing the entire cost of the shipment, to the staff and students of both schools and to the Cotting families for their generosity. I hope the attached photos from KC put a smile on your face for the entire Cotting Community had a hand in the success of this endeavor.
